To support this requirement, Laser Rail has developed a certificated LaserSweep™ training course. The course is designed to provide a simple way of proving a user’s competence.
Laser Rail is also offering the chance to do the LaserSweep™ assessment without the course, for experienced users.
The LaserSweep™ course covers all aspects of setting up and using a Bluetooth LaserSweep™ with a PDA to survey structures. This includes how to assemble and use the LaserSweep™ in a safe manner, as well as hints and tips for ensuring that the measured profile is an accurate representation of the structure. The training takes place at Laser Rail’s specially converted premises in Holmewood, where a length of ballasted railway track, with structure sections, is available indoors. This is used for many of the practical, hands-on exercises with the LaserSweep™, making the training very relevant to real life experience.
The course includes an assessment leading to a certificate being awarded to successful delegates.
