ClearRoute™ Courses
Laser Rail ClearRoute™ software training courses cover the following topics:- Training in all main ClearRoute™ functions from inputting structure data to reporting analysis results

The one-day Professional ClearRoute™ course covers more advanced functions, most of which are only available in the full version of ClearRoute™. This course is designed so that clients who have previously attended a Basic ClearRoute™ course can update their knowledge. Alternatively the two courses (Basic and Professional) can be attended consecutively to make up a complete ClearRoute™ course.
The ClearRoute™ Tilting Trains course covers the theory of Tilting Trains, as well as how to use the current ClearRoute™ Tilting Train models. The course lasts one day.
All courses include formal assessment and successful delegates receive a certificate to certify that they have achieved a specified level of achievement.
DesignRoute Courses
Laser Rail offer full training in DesignRoute Horizontal and Vertical with thefollowing benefits:
- Training in all options, from the entry of survey data through to the plotting of completed designs
- Learning through hands-on experience
- Frequent exercises to consolidate learning
- Time allowed, with support, to practise new skills
- Comprehensive course notes to take away
- Certificates awarded to verify attendance and participation
give a full DesignRoute™ course. Taken separately, the courses last 1 day
each. The combined course lasts 1.5 days.
Each course covers the following:
- Understanding and configuring the DesignRoute™ interface
- Entering survey data
- Creating a track diagram
- Importing survey data from Excel™
- Setting design limits and standards
- Creating a design
- Exporting design data to Excel™
- Plotting a design
- Listing Lift and slue at OHLE Masts and mid-points
Vertical
- Producing a design by manipulating intersection points
- Creating a composite rail from 2 rail surveys
- Reporting relative levels between chosen rails and designs
- Applying cant to a design
- Producing vertical laser information
- Producing a Hallade design by creating curves and transitions, zeroing the sum of difference and minimising the slues
- Exporting the design to a Hallade
- Excel sheet
- Evaluating existing cant against a design
Training Details
All courses are generally held at our office in Matlock, Derbyshire, at our dedicated training facilities. A buffet lunch is provided each day. The maximum number of delegates is four. This ensures that there is a computer per delegate and each delegate receives maximum attention from the trainer.Alternatively, the courses can be held in conference facilities nearer to customers’ premises.
