Our entry was for the accurate and efficient measurement of London Underground tunnels using LaserPeT™. A full version of our entry can be seen here.
The LaserPeT™ spatial measurement system, developed by Laser Rail for Metronet, uses principles of triangulation to continuously capture spatial data of railway infrastructure in relation to track position.
This system is currently being used by Metronet on the Victoria and Central lines.
David Johnson, CEO has said,
‘Laser Rail is pleased to receive acknowledgement that its technology has been recognised by the industry as a key component of the future efficiency and management of railway networks. We are pleased to be a part of modernising the tube, working in close co-operation with Metronet and its project teams.’
