ClearRoute™ OCL
Laser Rail would like to announce the release of the ClearRoute™ module “ClearRoute™ Overhead Contact Line” (OCL) available to users of both ClearRoute™ and ClearRoute™ LT.
Overview
The new OCL module operates alongside ClearRoute™ and has been specifically designed to provide support to engineers who wish to model the behaviour of the Kinematic vehicle with active pantographs in respect of Overhead Contact Lines.
The software is aimed at users interested in establishing clearances between OHL equipment, pantographs and the infrastructure. The software will allow a user to check compliance with standards using an absolute gauging approach to electrification clearances and pantograph sway rather than a standard static gauge approach.
A typical example of this need would be in new electrification schemes in tight conditions where sway can be shown to be less than the GMRT 2149 required minimum clearance.
